Michael Grogan has 20 years of professional experience coupled with academic appointments during the last decade. Michael is an Assistant Professor Architecture at Kansas State University. Formerly he taught at Northeastern University, the Rhode Island School of Design, and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He received his M.Arch from Yale University and his B.Arch from the University of Arkansas. At Yale he was named the John Storrs Scholar for 2006, received two Teaching Fellowships for undergraduate and graduate design studios, and was named the Yale Presidential Public Service Fellow at the Yale Urban Design Workshop in 2005. Michael's practice began in the 1990s with a number of independent commissions - mostly for single family homes - throughout the Southeast, including the completed Rochester residence which was exhibited at the 1997 AIA National Convention. More recently he has had built residential commissions in MA and NY while also collaborating with the Kripper Architecture Studio on a number of competitions and commissioned commercial and residential projects - mostly adaptive reuse - throughout the Northeast. Additionally Michael has been a designer for architecture firms in Phoenix, Memphis, St. Louis, and Boston.
