Collaboration with A. Kripper (KAS)

This proposal for a speculative home – now under construction – was intended to contrast with the sundry “Faux Châteaus” and “Neo-Mediterranean” constructs that predictably-yet-inexplicably dominate this Newton suburb. Admittedly inspired by the “Modern Farmhouse,” the general approach was directed towards a straight-forward massing and distribution of materials and windows with simple rooflines. This direction is also in homage to some of the older housing stock in the neighborhood (often of the “Split Level Ranch” variety). The interior design is conceived in similar, comfortable-minimalist terms.
